Delete Your Account
How to permanently delete your Middlespot account and associated data.
Delete directly in the app
The fastest way to delete your account is from within the Middlespot app:
- Open the Middlespot app on your device.
- Tap your profile icon to open Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm when prompted. Your account will be permanently deleted immediately.
Request deletion by email
If you no longer have access to the app, email us and we will delete your account manually within 7 days:
Send a request to gate@middlespot.app with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include the email address or Google account associated with your Middlespot account.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your profile (display name, pronouns, and prompt answers)
- Your encounter records and all generated affinities
- Your QR code and associated profile data
- Your account credentials (linked Apple or Google account association)
- Any in-app preferences and settings
What may be retained
Some information may be retained for a limited period after deletion for legal and operational reasons:
- Crash and error reports — anonymised diagnostic data collected by Sentry (our crash reporting service) may be retained per Sentry's data retention policies. This data is stripped of personally identifiable information before transmission and cannot be linked back to you after account deletion.
- Transaction records — if you made in-app purchases, transaction records required for financial or tax compliance may be retained for up to 7 years in accordance with applicable law. This data is held by our payment processor (RevenueCat / Apple / Google).
